How they work

Figures you can check and change

Each calculator answers as you type and shows how it got there: the rates, allowances and tax slabs it used, and when they were last checked. Where a figure moves with the market, such as a rate per sq ft, a steel price or KIBOR, you can type your own.

They are built for Pakistan: plots in marla and kanal, materials in bags, cft and trolleys, steel by sutar, money in rupees with lakh and crore, and taxes as the FBR charges them.

The answers are estimates to plan with and to compare options. For a price you will sign, go by a contractor's quotation, a bank's offer or a tax adviser, and measure on site.

Are the calculators free to use?

Yes. Every calculator here is free and needs no account. Use them as often as you like, on a computer or a phone.

Do you keep the figures I type?

No. Your last inputs are remembered on your own device, so a calculator opens where you left it; clearing your browser's data for this site removes them. We only receive details you choose to send us through a form.

How up to date are the rates and tax figures?

Each calculator that depends on a market rate, a tax rate or a tariff says when its figures were checked, and lets you change them. Tax rates are updated after each federal budget, and construction rates when the market moves.

Can I rely on the answers for a deal or a contract?

Use them to plan and to compare. A contractor's quotation, your bank's offer letter, the FBR or a tax adviser, and your own measurements are what to rely on when money changes hands.
